Hey there! We're thrilled to have you here.

We’ve got a ton of info to share with you.

Have you signed up for our program yet? Fill out this form here.

We’ve made a bunch of ASL videos about living with diabetes. Check them out here.

We’re all about the signs. We created this ASL glossary of diabetes terms with a community board of Deaf individuals living with diabetes, Deaf researchers, and certified deaf interpreters with clinician support. We hope you find it helpful!

Your rights as a patient

The Deaf Diabetes Can Together team made this printable flyer about working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing patients that you can share with your clinician.

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) has great info on their website about your rights as a patient.

NAD provides some advocacy letters for various healthcare situations as a first step to resolve issues you may face as a patient.

If you feel you’re still unable to resolve your issues as a patient, NAD also has info on how to “file a complaint against health care providers when [you] do not receive effective communication.”
